Meet some friends who were playing pickleball at these courts. Plenty of parking along the side where there's a parking lot as well as street parking. It's along back near Wilson high school. Tennis courts and one side it's also utilize for pickleball. The bigger side of the court was all utilize for tennis. Then there's the smaller section where it was 8 courts for pickleball. The seating was quite nice as it was bleachers so each seat you had a nice view of the courts. It was quite busy for a Sunday afternoon with pretty much all the courts there taken. Both side either for practice, tournament or people having a good time. There was also a baseball field behind the bleachers. Restroom were located under the bleachers. The court itself was quite nice. Very well maintained and all clean. Compared to others I've been, this was great.

My partner will occasionally join our friends in pickleball at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center (I can't play but I come to keep him company). The courts have consistently been well maintained, decently lit at night, and the immediate surrounding area is clean with ample parking. Sometimes I bring my pups with me to watch friends play and while not allowed on the courts, they will let me bring my pups to sit in the bleachers. The rates are affordable and you can easily make reservations online in advance. My only gripe is that once (or twice), my friends had reserved pickleball courts for 2 hours and in the second hour, staff made them change courts instead of giving the later party the previous empty court. Maybe there's a reason for this but from my limited perspective, it feels weird and little bit like favoritism? Not sure. I'd imagine most people would wanna play the 2 hours on the same court and not be forced to move half way.

What is the connection between Long Beach and Tennis? In this city, she learned to hone the basics of tennis. And because of her contribution to the game of tennis, there is a center named after her. Billie Jean King Tennis Center exemplifies an impressive destination for tennis enthusiasts. The courts are not free to play but are well-maintained, and well-lit courts offer a top-tier playing experience. There are plenty of parking available around this area. You can also look into the City's Parks and Rec booklet for public group lessons or contact any coaches in the center for private lessons. Pretty chill place to play tennis. You can even see some Billie Jean King memorabilia inside of office building too! You can also get your racket strung while watching some tennis in their lounge area. If I'm not mistaken, they have 8 tennis courts. I've come on a few different occasions on the weekends and my wife and I pretty much have the courts all to ourselves. On some of the weekdays though, it does tend to get pretty busy due to the tennis lessons. You can always book your courts ahead of time by calling ahead or using the app though.

Love this spot!! I try to play here everyday. The staff are all very friendly and kind! Sometimes I lose track of the time and they're always kind enough to let us hit a few extra minutes before letting us know. Stringing gets done quickly too, and I prefer this place over Eldo. Favorite courts in Long Beach, we come here on weekends and play doubles, very clean surroundings, parking not an issue, the courts themselves are in good shape and well taken care of
